Story
Pramodini Medicare Ltd began its journey in 1986, when Dr. Y. Raja Rao envisioned a centre that went beyond routine medical service. He believed that diagnostics could hold deeper meaning, touching education, humanity, and the very experience of care. With this purpose, he set up a pioneering diagnostic facility in Vijayawada, driven by the simple yet powerful idea of bringing advanced medical insight closer to the community. From its earliest days, the centre pushed boundaries. What started with an early-generation ultrasound and conventional radiographic system quickly evolved in response to a clear gap, access to reliable, sophisticated diagnostic services in the region. To bridge this, Pramodini introduced Vijayawada’s first vascular colour Doppler system in 1990 and installed the region’s first CT scan in 1993, setting new benchmarks and redefining what a diagnostic centre could offer.
